New Orleans: city of intrigue, supernatural secrets, and one enigmatic dragon.

A deadly curse....
For 300 years, Gabriel Blakemore has survived in New Orleans after a coup in his native realm of Paragon scattered him and his dragon siblings across the globe. Now a voodoo curse threatens to end his immortal existence. His only hope is to find an antidote, one that may rest in a mortal woman.

A lifesaving gift...
After five years of unsuccessful treatment for her brain cancer, death is a welcome end for Raven Tanglewood. Her illness has become a prison her adventurous spirit cannot abide. Salvation comes in the form of Gabriel, who uses dragon magic to save her.

A harrowing price...
To Raven, the bond that results from Gabriel's gift is another kind of captivity. Can Gabriel win Raven's love and trust in time to awaken the life-saving magic within her? Or will his fiery personality and possessive ways drive her from his side and seal his fate?

“I loved this steamy, fast paced paranormal romance. I need a dragon of my very own.”  Kim Loraine, Best Selling Author of The Fallen Angel Trilogy

“Reading Dragon of New Orleans made me feel right at home in my adopted city, and I can't wait for the next one. This is a fantastic start of a new urban fantasy series. “  Deanna Chase, NYT Bestselling author

  • Great story. But issues

    By Kimbo1216
I was immediately hooked with the first chapter. Then it slowed down a bit before it got good again. All was good until Raven and Gabriel make a trip where stupid choices are made and certain things just don’t make sense. I hate when a story is propelled by dumb choices. But it worked out and things progressed. I was sucked back in until some another event happened that Gabriel should have felt through his bond but didn’t, and it wasn’t explained why (was he too weak to feel it?). And why did raven not seek her family for answers if her being a Tanglewood was so important? Why does she never confide in them? At least her sister? And there were a few more holes along the way that were very distracting. That said, I was really into the story as a whole and may even purchase the next book. I like the uniqueness of this world. The voodoo stuff in NOLA was a bit creepy for me, but I’m hoping the Windy City won’t have all that.
  • It was ok.

I honestly had to push myself to read this book. It’s no Keresley Cole book that’s for sure. I found Raven to be kind of annoying. She always seems to be getting hurt or she always seems to be in trouble. She doesn’t want Gabriel to protect her, but somehow she ends up in bad situations. She also just escaped a cancerous death but her first instict is to go to a crocodile kayak adventure, where they almost eat her. Like, why would you play with your life after geting a 2nd chance. Gabriel is this all powerful being and somehow some Voodoo priestess is outsmarting him. Somehow he magically ends up saving Raven and she ends up being exactly what he needs to break a spell, even though Raven doesn’t know anything about magic. The thing about Katrina is mentioned over and over and it was anticlamactic. She solves absolutely nothing. Also, Gabriel is very strong but katrina’s human father is an issue? IDK I was just bored through most of it.

I’ve not read this author before but I’m glad I downloaded a free copy when it was offered! I loved this book! For me, this was a page-turner I couldn’t put down until the end, then I was sorry it was done. The twists and turns, the character interactions, the romance - of which there was some steam, and the world-building was fantastic. In my opinion, this is a book worth reading!

Fast paced, delightful love story with multiple fully fleshed out characters both human and non human. Lots of interesting ‘facts’ about the creatures and dragons, different worlds and betrayals. Fascinating.
