About the author Rodrigo Montoya:

Rodrigo Montoya Rojas (Cusco, 1943) is a prominent Peruvian anthropologist, sociologist, and writer. He studied anthropology at the National University of San Marcos and pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Paris. He has been a professor at various universities, including San Marcos and the University of Paris. His work focuses on indigenous cultures, peasant movements, Andean identity, interculturality, and decolonization. He is known for his critical perspective on modernity and his defense of indigenous rights and knowledge. Among his most important works are "Struggle for Land, Agrarian Reform, and Capitalism in Peru," "From Andean Utopia to Disenchantment," and "Wonderland: Reflections on Interculturality."
