C. Dale Young is an American poet and physician born in 1969. He graduated from Davidson College and Stanford University School of Medicine. His poetry collections, such as "The Second Book of the Sonnet", "Torn", and "Prometeo", often explore themes of medicine, identity, sexuality, and the human condition. He has received the Stanley Kunitz Memorial Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship, among others. He practices medicine, specializing in HIV care, and teaches poetry in the Warren Wilson College MFA program.
