Emilio Rodríguez Demorizi (1908-1986) was a prominent Dominican historian, bibliographer, and genealogist. He was born in La Vega and earned a law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. He held important positions such as Director of the General Archive of the Nation and president of the Dominican Academy of History. He was a prolific author, with over a hundred books and numerous articles on Dominican history, characterized by the rigor of his documentary research. His work is fundamental for the study of the history of the Dominican Republic.
