Théodule-Armand Ribot (1839-1916) was a French psychologist, considered one of the founders of scientific psychology in France. He studied at the École Normale Supérieure and was a professor of experimental and comparative psychology at the Sorbonne and later at the Collège de France. His research focused on the pathology of mental processes such as memory, attention, will, and personality, significantly influencing clinical psychology. He is known for his "Ribot's Law" concerning the regression of memory in cases of amnesia, where recent memories are lost before older ones. He founded the *Revue Philosophique de la France et de l'Étranger* in 1876, a key journal for the dissemination of scientific psychology.
