Constantin Hering (1800-1880) was a German-American physician considered the "Father of American Homeopathy." He was a disciple of Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy. In 1833, he emigrated to the United States, where he dedicated himself to teaching, practicing, and promoting homeopathy. He founded the first homeopathic medical school in the United States and was an influential figure in the development of this discipline in the Americas. He is known for "Hering's Law" or "Hering's Law of Cure."
