About the author Francisco García:

He was born in Tomelloso, Ciudad Real, in 1919 and died in Madrid in 1989. This Spanish writer was primarily known for his detective novels featuring the local police chief Plinio and his assistant Don Lotario. His work, which earned him the Nadal Award in 1967 for "El rapto de las sabinas", combined the crime genre with a costumbrist description of La Mancha.
