Leonard Allison Morrison

Leonard Allison Morrison (1926-2001) was a Scottish writer known primarily for his crime and mystery novels. He wrote under the pseudonym "Len Deighton" and is famous for the book series featuring the character Bernard Samson, an MI6 spy. His work is characterized by its plot complexity, realism in describing the world of espionage, and intelligent prose. Some of his most notable works include "Funeral in Berlin", "The Ipcress File", and the "Game, Set & Match" trilogy. Before dedicating himself to full-time writing, he worked in advertising. His novels have been adapted for film and television.
