Luis Alberto Sánchez Sánchez (Lima, 1900 - 1994) was a Peruvian lawyer, jurist, historian, writer, journalist, essayist, literary critic, and politician. He was a prominent figure in Peruvian politics and culture for much of the 20th century. He was a prolific author with over a hundred published books, covering history, literature, criticism, and autobiography. He was a member of the Peruvian Aprista Party, becoming president of the Chamber of Senators and three times rector of the National University of San Marcos. He also served twice as president of the Council of Ministers and vice president of Peru.
