Mario Arturo Padilla Lobato

Mario Arturo Padilla Lobato (Mexico City, 1951) is a Mexican poet, essayist, literary critic, and narrator. He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of UNAM and has been a professor at the University of Guanajuato. His poetic work is characterized by the exploration of themes such as memory, time, love, and the city. He has published several collections of poems, including "Los días de la ceniza" (The Days of Ash), "La noche en el espejo" (The Night in the Mirror), and "El río de las voces" (The River of Voices). He is also the author of essay books on Mexican literature and travel chronicles. His work has been recognized with various awards, such as the Elías Nandino National Young Poetry Award. He is considered an important voice in contemporary Mexican poetry.
