Mathilde Estvan

Mathilde Estvan (1907-1994) was an American writer of Hungarian origin. She is known for her novel "The Beggars" (1942), which won the Atlantic Monthly Prize. She also wrote "The Devil's Eye" (1947). Her works often addressed themes of displacement and the human condition.
