Antonio Altadill

Antonio Altadill y Escudero was a 19th-century Spanish writer and journalist (1829-1880). He was born in Barcelona and died in Madrid. He was a prolific author who cultivated various literary genres, including novels, theater, and poetry. He also stood out for his work as a journalist, collaborating in important publications of the era. Some of his best-known works include novels such as The Phantom Ship or The Orphan of San Cristóbal. He was a relevant figure of late Romanticism and Costumbrismo in Spain.
