Mikel Santiago is a Spanish writer born in Portugalete, Biscay, in 1975. He currently resides in Madrid. Before dedicating himself professionally to writing, he worked as an IT professional. He is mainly known for his psychological thrillers set in rural and remote locations, often in the Basque Country or the French Brittany region. He has published several successful novels, such as "The Last Night at Tremore Beach", "The Lesser Evil", "The Island of Last Voices", "In the Dead of Night" and "The Forgotten Son", among others. His works are characterized by creating oppressive and mysterious atmospheres, with unexpected twists that keep the reader on the edge of their seat.
