Mo Gawdat

Mo Gawdat is an Egyptian entrepreneur, author, former Chief Business Officer of Google [X], and artificial intelligence advocate. He was the CBO (Chief Business Officer) of Google [X], Google's "moonshot" incubator that created Waymo (self-driving cars), Loon (internet via balloons), and other advanced technologies. Following the tragic death of his son, Ali, in 2014, Mo dedicated himself to researching happiness and sharing his equation for happiness in an effort to make one billion people happy. He is the author of "Solve for Happy: Engineer Your Path to Joy" and "Scary Smart: The Future of Artificial Intelligence and How You Can Save Our World". He is a frequent speaker on topics of happiness, the future of AI, and well-being.
