Modesto Falcón y Ozcoidi (Pamplona, 1829 – Madrid, 1904) was a Spanish soldier, writer, journalist, and politician. He participated in the War of Africa and the Third Carlist War. He was director of the magazine "La Ilustración Militar" and a member of the Royal Academy of History. Among his works, "History of the War of Africa" and "History of the Civil War" stand out.
