Patricio Montojo y Pasarón was a Spanish admiral born in El Ferrol in 1839. Known for commanding the Spanish fleet at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War of 1898. He was the author of the work "Naval Operations in the Pacific". He died in Madrid in 1917.
