Paul Westheim

Paul Westheim (1886-1963) was a German art critic, editor, and art historian. He founded and directed the influential magazine "Das Kunstblatt" (1917-1933), promoting Expressionist artists. Persecuted by the Nazis, he went into exile in Mexico in 1941, where he became a prominent scholar of pre-Columbian and modern Mexican art. He died in Mexico City.
