Pedro María de Olive (Salamanca, 1811 – Madrid, 1896) was a Spanish writer, journalist, and politician. A graduate in Law, he held several political positions such as deputy and senator in the Cortes. He directed important newspapers of the era like El Español and La España. His literary work includes novels, dramas, and historical essays.
