Rafael Arcaya Cruzado (1912-1981) was a Venezuelan historian, journalist, and diplomat. He held a degree in Political Science from the Central University of Venezuela and a Doctorate in Law from the Sorbonne in Paris. He served as Venezuela's ambassador to several countries and was a prolific writer on historical and political topics, especially those related to the figure of Simón Bolívar. Some of his works include "Bolívar y la Independencia de América", "Historia de Venezuela", and numerous essays and journalistic articles.
