Rafael Ramón Guerrero is a Spanish philosopher, historian of thought, and university professor. He was born in Montalbán de Córdoba in 1944. He completed his philosophy studies at Comillas University and Complutense University of Madrid, where he earned his doctorate with a thesis on Averroes. He has been a professor of History of Medieval Philosophy at the University of Seville and later at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he is an emeritus professor. His work has focused on medieval Arabic philosophy, especially Averroes, and on the relationship between Islamic and Christian thought. He is the author of numerous books and articles on medieval thought, including "History of Medieval Philosophy" and monographs on Averroes.
