Ramón de la Cruz Cano y Olmedilla (Madrid, 1731-1794) was a Spanish playwright, author of more than three hundred sainetes, short comic plays that depicted 18th-century Madrid customs. He also wrote tragedies and comedies. He is considered a prominent figure in Spanish short theater.
