Adolfo Barredo de Valenzuela y Arrojo (1917-1994) was a Spanish historian, genealogist, heraldist, writer, and editor. Marquess of La Florida, Count of Montealegre, and Baron of Covadonga. He held a Law degree, was a full member of the Royal Academy of History, and perpetual librarian of the Royal Spanish Academy. He founded and directed the journal "Hidalguía" and was president of the Royal Matritense Academy of Heraldry and Genealogy. Author of numerous works on nobility and heraldry, including the extensive "Índice de la colección de don Luis de Salazar y Castro".
