Rius

Eduardo del Río, artistically known as Rius, was a prominent Mexican cartoonist, comic artist, and writer. He was born in Zamora, Michoacán, in 1934 and passed away in Tepoztlán, Morelos, in 2017. He was a scathing social and political critic, recognized for his didactic and humorous style in addressing complex topics such as politics, history, philosophy, and health. Among his most celebrated works are the comic strips "Los Supermachos" and "Los Agachados," as well as numerous informative books like "Marx para principiantes," "El manual del perfecto ateo," and "La panza es primero." His work significantly influenced several generations of readers and artists in Mexico and Latin America.
