Sigismond Jaccoud (1896-1981) was a Swiss writer and poet. Born in Estavayer-le-Lac, Canton of Fribourg, he was a teacher by profession. He is known for his regionalist novels and poetry that often describe life in his native Fribourg region, such as "Le Pain de la Solitude" and "La Nuit du Grand-Juge".
