Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th President of the United States, serving from 1901 to 1909. Born in 1858 in New York, he was a politician, soldier, explorer, naturalist, historian, and writer. Before his presidency, he served as Governor of New York and Vice President. During his tenure, he was known for his "antitrust" policy, the promotion of nature conservation, and his diplomacy, which earned him the Nobel Peace Prize for mediating the Russo-Japanese War. He died in 1919.
