Arthur W. Pink

Arthur Walkington Pink (1886-1952) was an English evangelist and biblical scholar known for his focus on the sovereignty of God and Calvinism. He initially moved to the United States to study at the Moody Bible Institute but did not complete his studies there. He pastored several churches in the United States and Australia, though he struggled to maintain congregations due to his strict teaching and personality. In the 1920s, he began writing extensively, publishing books and a monthly magazine called "Studies in the Scriptures." His work gained greater recognition posthumously, influencing the Calvinist and evangelical movements with his writings on Reformed theology, the Christian life, and biblical study. He spent his final years on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, dedicating himself entirely to writing.
