Walter Scott

Walter Scott (1771-1832) was a Scottish historical novelist, poet, playwright, and lawyer. He is considered one of the fathers of the historical novel. His most influential works include Ivanhoe, Rob Roy, and Waverley, which popularized the genre and had a great impact on European literature.
