William Henry Giles Kingston

William Henry Giles Kingston (1814-1880) was a prolific English author, primarily known for his adventure novels for young people. Born in London, he spent part of his youth in Portugal and traveled extensively, which inspired many of his more than 150 works, often set at sea or in distant lands. Among his most popular books are "Peter the Whaler" and "The Three Midshipmen".
