William Stanley Jevons

William Stanley Jevons (1835-1882) was an English economist and logician. He is considered a prominent figure in the Marginal Revolution and a pioneer in the development of marginal utility theory. His contributions include the application of mathematical methods to economics, statistics, and logic. His most influential work, "The Theory of Political Economy" (1871), formalized much of his economic thought.
