Barry Windsor-Smith is a British comic book artist, writer, illustrator, and painter, born in 1949. He is known for his distinctive artistic style and his work on comics such as Conan the Barbarian for Marvel Comics in the early 1970s. He has also done notable work on X-Men, The Avengers, and later created independent works such as Storyteller and Weapon X for Marvel, which was one of the inspirations for the character Wolverine. He has been awarded several Eisner Awards for his career and his work.
