Carlos Alvar

Carlos Alvar López (b. 1955) is a Spanish philologist and medievalist, Professor of Romance Philology at the University of Alcalá. His research focuses on medieval literature, epic poetry, the romancero, lyric poetry, and text editing. He has edited classical works and is the author of numerous studies and books on these subjects.
