Carlos Rebella (1918-1999) was a Uruguayan lawyer, journalist, and writer. He was born in Montevideo and died in the same city. During the civic-military dictatorship in Uruguay, he was a political prisoner. His work includes novels, short stories, and memoirs, highlighting titles such as "Los años de la noche," where he recounts his prison experience. He also served as a diplomat.
