Cedric Belfrage (1904-1990) was a British journalist, editor, and socialist. He worked as a film critic in Hollywood in the 1930s. He co-founded the radical newspaper National Guardian in the United States in 1948. Due to his political views during the McCarthy era, he was interrogated by HUAC and deported from the U.S. in 1955, settling in Mexico. He was known for his anti-imperialist and socialist stances.
