César Pierre Castagné

César Pierre Castagné was a French engineer and naval architect (1833-1901), known for his work in the design and construction of military vessels and submarines. He was a pioneer in electric propulsion for submarines and made significant contributions to the development of French naval technology in the 19th century. He held important positions at the Cherbourg Arsenal and was Inspector General of maritime engineering.
