Ciro A. de Quadros (1940-2014) was a Brazilian physician and epidemiologist, internationally recognized for his leadership in public health and vaccination programs. He played a crucial role in the eradication of polio in the Americas as director of the vaccine program at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). Subsequently, he was executive vice president of disease eradication initiatives at the Sabin Vaccine Institute, also contributing to the elimination of measles and rubella.
