Claudio Naranjo

Claudio Naranjo was born in Valparaíso, Chile, in 1932 and passed away in 2019. He was a Chilean psychiatrist, psychotherapist, educator, and writer, considered a key figure in transpersonal psychology and the human potential movement. He studied medicine and psychiatry in Chile, later moving to the United States, where he worked at the Esalen Institute and was one of the pioneers of Gestalt therapy alongside Fritz Perls. He developed the SAT Program (Seekers After Truth), a personal growth method that integrates various spiritual and psychological traditions. His work covers topics such as meditation, spirituality, education, psychotherapy, and the evolution of consciousness.
