G. S. Kirk

Geoffrey Stephen Kirk (1921-2003) was a British classicist, renowned for his studies on Homer and Presocratic philosophy. He was Professor of Greek at the University of Bristol and later Professor of Classics at Yale University. Among his most notable works are his commentaries on the Iliad and the Odyssey, as well as books on Greek mythology and the origins of Greek thought.
