Gabriele Amorth (May 1, 1925 – September 16, 2016) was an Italian Catholic priest and the official exorcist of the Diocese of Rome. He was a member of the Society of Saint Paul and became internationally known for his work in the field of exorcism. He founded the International Association of Exorcists in 1990 and served as its president until his retirement in 2000. Amorth wrote several books on exorcism and demonic activity, sharing his experiences and insights on the subject.
