George Crabb

George Crabb (1778-1851) was an English grammarian and lawyer, known for his work "Crabb's English Synonymes Explained in Alphabetical Order" (1816), a dictionary of synonyms that became a standard reference and has been reissued numerous times. He also wrote on law and theology. He served as a public notary in London.
