Hernán Lavín Cerda (Santiago, Chile, 1943) is a Chilean poet and editor. He studied at the Instituto Nacional and at the School of Law of the University of Chile. He founded and directed the magazine "Trilce" between 1964 and 1969, an important reference for Chilean poetry. He also worked for the magazine "Casa de las Américas" in Havana. He has published several poetry collections, including "La Canción del Alfarero", "La Poesía es un rifle cargado", and "El Libro del Exilio". His work is characterized by direct language and a profound reflection on the human and social condition.
