Jaime Barrios Peña is a Salvadoran writer and poet born in San Salvador in 1963. He studied psychology and philosophy. He is known for his poetry and essays, being part of the literary generation that emerged during the Salvadoran Civil War. Among his notable works are "Los días de la luna" and "Cuentos para niños que no creen en cuentos". He has also worked in cultural journalism and directs the publishing house La Chifurnia.
