Jaime Massardo was a Chilean academic and political activist, member of the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR). Son of socialist leader Enrique Massardo, he lived in exile during Pinochet's dictatorship. He developed a prominent academic career in the field of political science and sociology, both abroad and in Chile after his return, specializing in political thought.
