James Champlin Fernald

James Champlin Fernald (1838-1918) was an American author, editor, and lexicographer. He was a Congregational minister before dedicating himself to literature. He is known for his work as an associate editor of the Funk & Wagnalls Standard Dictionary and for books such as "English Synonyms and Antonyms".
