Alpheus Spring Packard

Alpheus Spring Packard (1839-1905) was an American entomologist and paleontologist. He graduated from Bowdoin College and Maine Medical School. He was a co-founder of the journal American Naturalist and a professor of zoology and geology at Brown University. He published over 250 papers and books, including "Guide to the Study of Insects," and made significant contributions to the classification and understanding of insects.
