Jean Dumont

Jean Dumont (1667-1727) was a French historian, publicist, and editor. He is mainly known for his work "Corps universel diplomatique du droit des gens", a monumental compilation of treaties and diplomatic documents that was a fundamental reference for international law and diplomatic history. He also served as historiographer to Emperor Charles VI.
