Jennifer Finney Boylan is an American author, professor, and transgender activist. She is known for her memoir "She's Not There: A Life in Two Genders" (2003), which documents her gender transition. She has written several novels and non-fiction books, and is a professor of English at Barnard College. She has also contributed to The New York Times and other publications, and has been involved in advocating for LGBTQ+ rights.
