Joan Pont is an economist, university professor, and Catalan politician born in 1944. He has been a member of the Parliament of Catalonia. He is the author of several books, many of them on economics, unemployment, and local history, such as "Un món sense atur" and "La Segona República i la Guerra Civil a Rubí".
