Johannes Hirschberger (1900-1990) was a German philosopher and theologian, known primarily for his monumental work "Historia de la Filosofía" (History of Philosophy), an influential text in Spanish-speaking philosophical education. He studied at the universities of Munich, Münster, and Bonn, earning his doctorate in philosophy in 1928 and in theology in 1930. He was a professor of philosophy at various institutions, including the University of Munich. His approach was characterized by a comprehensive view of the history of thought, paying special attention to the relationship between faith and reason.
