John McClintock

John McClintock (1814-1870) was an American Methodist educator, editor, and theologian. He was born in Philadelphia and studied at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a professor of mathematics and later president of Dickinson College. He was also editor of the Methodist Quarterly Review and co-editor of the Cyclopaedia of Biblical, Theological, and Ecclesiastical Literature. He contributed significantly to Methodist scholarship through his writings and editorial work.
