José Antonio Marina (Toledo, 1939) is a Spanish philosopher, essayist, and pedagogue. A Professor of Philosophy, he is known for his works on ethics, intelligence, creativity, and theory of knowledge. He has developed a theory of "generative intelligence" and is a prolific author of books and articles that seek to apply philosophy to everyday life and education. Among his notable works are "Ética para Náufragos", "La inteligencia creadora", and "Despertar al diplodocus". He has received several awards for his career and his contributions to thought.
